This document serves the purpose of laying down certain mandatory rules of procedure associated with Oculus’ Open Mic event taking place on the 16th of January. The holder of this document alongside the participant’s pass is under obligation to abide by the rules established by the organizing committee. Violation of any such clauses mentioned in this document will result in warnings followed by immediate disqualification of participant from the Open mic event.

All participants must abide by the following regulations put forth by the organizing committee:

CLAUSE 1: PARTICIPATION

  • Participants must have no plagiarism in their content (Originality)
  • Each Participant must finish their material within 6 minutes.
  • A buzzer will be sounded 30 seconds prior to the finishing time of the speaker.
  • Explicit sexual imagery, slander or nudity is strictly prohibited; encountering such elements in the material will result in immediate termination of the participant’s performance alongside disqualification.
  • Apart from microphone, there will be no provisions for performance.
  • A single payment of fee will make the stage available for one person’s performance. Fees is to be paid per person and not per performance.

CLAUSE 2: CONDUCT

  • Ill-mannered behavior exhibited by anyone within the premises will result in immediate disqualification alongside being barred from the venue.
  • Punctuality is very important. Anything more than a 30 minute late arrival will not be entertained.
  • Missing your slot, despite being called upon stage will not be met with reimbursement of fee or additional slots.
  • You are not allowed to interact with the guest of honor during a performance. On doing so, you shall be barred and disqualied.
  • Possession of Alcohol/drugs or illegal substances will result in disqualification and banishment from the venue.

CLAUSE 3: SPECTATION

  • Any form of misconduct that comes from the audience will result in the banishment from the venue.
  • Any attempt made to disturb/disrupt or sabotage the performance of anyone on stage/off stage will result in banishment from the venue.
  • Interferences in the form of loud noises from the crowd will be met with banishment from the venue.


The fest aims to make a difference by associating with Ratna Nidhi charitable trust, in order to cater to the necessities of the terror attack victims and amputees.
