The two categories offered by Sargam are Solo and Duet. Solo Category has 3 sub-categories of Singing, Instrumental and Rap. All 4 categories will be judged separately and prizes would be given to winners from each category. We believe that our third sub-category represents the streets and gullies of “Mumbai” and its emerging rap scene. 

What are the different categories one could take part in?

No, we really appreciate all entries, even if you are an amateur singer who wants to cultivate their interest in singing, we would love to have you in this competition.

Do I need to be a professional singer to take part in this?

That will depend upon the number of entries we receive and shall be notified to you during the audition round.

How many participants from each category will make it into the finals?

Two people will be allowed to participate together and both can choose among instrumental/rap/singing.

What is the duet category?

The final round will be conducted during one of the days of the OCULUS fest.

When is the final round?

Yes, we will be forming a Whatsapp group once the registrations are done, where you will be notified about all the details and all your queries shall be addressed.

Can we know the details of the competition in a better way?

No, you are required to carry your own instruments if you need to play them along with singing.

Will we get instruments for Sargam?

Solo: Rs.150 for each category. (Singing/Instrumental/Rap)
Duet: Rs.250

What is the entry fee for different categories?

If a participant wishes to take part in 2 or more categories, he gets a discount of ₹50 for each additional category.
Eg: If a participant wishes to take part in Solo Singing and Solo Instrumental, he has to pay ₹250 for the registration fee ( ₹150 + ₹100 )
